YouTube QR code

Put your channel on anything printable

Merch, packaging, posters, the last slide of a talk — one scan opens the channel or the video, inside a frame shaped like the screen it leads to. Free, no signup, print-ready.

Channels, videos, playlists, and live streams are all fair game.

Where do I find my link?
  1. Open the channel, video, or playlist you want scans to reach.
  2. Take the address from the browser bar, or use Share and copy the link.
  3. Put it in the field above.

This is the artwork itself — set, aerials, caption, and code arrive as a single file.

Step 1, in full

Getting the address you actually want

Channel

youtube.com/@your-handle
  1. Open your channel in a browser and copy the address; the version with the @ handle is the tidy one.
  2. Settle the handle before printing anything — the artwork holds the address exactly as pasted.
  3. Load it once while signed out to confirm a stranger sees the channel and not a redirect.

Video or playlist

youtube.com/watch?v=…
  1. Use Share beneath the player, then copy the link it offers.
  2. Paste the full address rather than a shortened one — short domains are not on the recognised list, and a full address is unambiguous to any scanner.
  3. For anything printed in quantity, weigh the channel instead: a video address ages the moment the next upload lands.
Against a plain code

A screen-shaped code reads as video before anyone scans it

A plain code
  • No hint that anything will play, so it competes with every other square
  • Reads the same on a tour poster and a delivery label
Yours
  • A set, an aerial, and your own wording carry the invitation
  • Scalable vector plus a large raster, framing included in the download

Where it ends up

Made for the objects an audience takes home

Merch and inserts

A subscribe code on the tag, the sleeve, or the box liner.

Gig and film posters

Sends a passer-by straight to the trailer instead of a search box.

Workshop handouts

Points at the walkthrough people will actually need at home.

Creator cards

A card that plays something rather than listing job titles.

When the printed code has to keep up

A dynamic code stays fixable after it is printed

What you build above is static — the address sits inside the artwork, which is why it keeps working with no service behind it, and also why it can never be re-aimed. A dynamic code is the opposite trade: last season’s merch can be pointed at this season’s upload, and each scan is counted by country and device. It runs on a one-time scan pack whose budget and term are both shown at checkout, and nothing recurring is ever charged to your card.

Questions

YouTube QR codes, answered

Does this YouTube QR code generator cost anything?

No. It runs in your browser, needs no account, adds no watermark, and caps nothing. Paying only enters the picture if you want a redirect you can re-point later or numbers on how often the code is scanned.

Should the code go to my channel or to one video?

Anything printed to last should carry the channel: it survives every upload. A single video address is the better choice only when the printed object exists for that video — a premiere poster, a launch insert, a festival programme.

Is this the code a TV shows when you sign in?

No, and they do different jobs. The one on a television pairs that screen with your account for a moment. This one is just your public address in code form: point a camera at it and the channel or video opens, whoever you are.

Can a printed code stop working later?

The code itself does not decay — the address is encoded in the artwork rather than looked up from a server. The failure mode is a moved target: change the handle, unlist the video, and the printed artwork faithfully points somewhere that has gone. A fresh code is the fix for a static one.

Can I drop a channel avatar or brand mark into it?

You can, using the logo row. The tool lifts error correction so the pattern still reads around the mark, then re-scans the preview and tells you the result. If a busy avatar fails that check, shrink it or use a flatter version.

What size does it need to be printed?

Two centimetres square is the practical minimum for something held in the hand. For a poster read across a room, scale to about a tenth of the viewing distance. Choose the SVG for anything commercially printed — it holds its edges at any size, which is what a print shop expects to receive.
